2025 Site Visits
Part of our commitment to our Donor Partners and our Shepherd Partners is to do annual site visits, as the Lord allows. These visits help to deepen our relationships, help us experience and better understand all aspects of their ministries in action, and to ensure that we are all walking in step with the Lord and with each other.
The end of July, 3 board members headed off to Sub-Saharan Africa for this year’s visit. We had a wonderfully productive time! Over a two-week period, we had an all-staff meeting at the Shepherd’s Home, a key-leaders meeting, budget meeting, and meeting with the pastoral training team. We got to visit the boys still living on the street, which was hard to process. We then got to spend time with the 30 boys living at the Shepherd’s home to see the transformative work being done in them by the Holy Spirit! All glory to the Lord! We were greeted with personalized song and dance, which was truly special and something we hold dear! We were privileged to participate at the mission center, where 40-60 boys come daily for food, bathing, and discipleship, as well as participate in the ministry to the girls working on the streets by providing feminine hygiene products and a discipleship lesson. We were blessed to worship twice with our African brothers and sisters in another language, which always brings more gratitude to the Father for His faithfulness to draw us together into one family! If you didn’t catch the recap video on our social media, you can watch it here.
On November 8th, with much excitement and anticipation, our team headed off for our 2025 South Asia site visit! Sadly, due to the government shutdown, FAA mandated flight cutbacks, and issues with staffing at the Atlanta airport, after circling the sky, we were turned away and rerouted to another airport. Ultimately, we were unable to get a flight out of the country for the foreseeable future. While we are deeply saddened for the delay, we are thankful for God’s sovereignty and trust his divine providence! This trip has been rebooked for January 2026.
