Mid-year Stories

A Full-Circle Story

Meet Hamsuk

When Hamsuk was 9 years old, he suddenly became paralyzed, leaving him unable to walk or move. His parents believe that a demon attacked him. They had taken him to several hospitals and many false priests for healing, but there was no improvement and he remained paralyzed. One day, Pastor TL, our indigenous leader in Southeast Asia, and two other missionary pastors visited Hamsuk’s home. They shared the Gospel with Hamsuk's family and they cried out to the Lord for the boy’s healing. The following week, TL and the missionaries returned to the village to see Hamsuk running, jumping, and playing with the other village children. The Lord gave Hamsuk a miracle!

TL and his team shared the gospel many times over the next few years. Hamsuk’s parents and 26 villagers gave their lives to Christ and were baptized! When Hamsuk was 12 years old, he gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in the river by TL.

Hamsuk grew up and attended TL’s Biblical Theological College & Seminary, completing his Bachelor of Theology. Last month, TL ordained Hamsuk as a missionary pastor in his ministry. Praise God for His faithfulness!

Thank you for faithfully supporting Shepherd 23:1 so that stories like these continue to unfold!

Street Ministry In Uganda

Uganda Team Trip

Due to travel restrictions in neighboring countries, our Uganda trip is postponed. This means there's time for you to join!! We know that God is sovereign and we believe we will see the divine reason for this delay. If you have a heart for children or troubled youth, this may be the trip for you! We will do a little VBS & spend time with the children at the Children's Home; we will visit the children living on the streets; we will serve the children who come to the Mission Center; and one afternoon the men will help the older boys with woodworking skills while the women help the ladies learn to sew.

The lodging accommodations are all comfortable, air conditioned, and typically easy for people of all ages. If the Spirit stirring you to go on mission with us, please call 918-630-6692 or email info@shepherd231.org. We would love for you to join us and will do everything we can to help you fundraise!

"If you give me one more day, give me one more soul."

"Lord, if you give me one more day, give me one more soul".

This is TL's daily prayer. He prays it and he lives it with intentionality! Here's a note from him to you…"

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to you and your family for your faithful prayers and generous support. Because of your prayers and financial partnership, God has enabled us to continue serving among unreached people groups and caring for orphaned children. We sincerely thank you for standing with us in this ministry.
We humbly ask for your continued prayers and financial support as we press forward in the work God has entrusted to us.

Serving in some of the most remote hills and mountainous regions of Southeast Asia is both a privilege and a great challenge. We face persecution, hardships, and many difficulties, yet we remain committed to the calling God has placed upon our lives. Many of the villages where we serve have no church, no pastor, and not even a single believer. The people belong to Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, and Animist (spirit-worshipping) communities, and many have never heard the name of Jesus Christ, we are still the first one to go in these villages.

As we live in these last days and look forward to the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ, we believe the Great Commission remains the responsibility of every believer and every church: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19-20) and “You will be My witnesses…” (Acts 1:8).

With this calling and commission, our desire is to see lives transformed by the power of the Gospel and people come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Every day, countless people pass into eternity without ever hearing the Gospel because there are no evangelists, missionaries, or pastors to reach them. Many of these communities have no roads, no schools, no hospitals, and live in extreme poverty. Families struggle even to find their next meal. They are hungry for food, hungry for love, hungry for hope, and above all, hungry for the saving message of Jesus Christ.

It is our commitment to bring them the love of Christ through the Gospel, compassionate care, practical help, and the hope of eternal life. We prayerfully invite you to stand with us in this mission. Together, we can reach those who have never heard the Good News. The need across many nations of Asia, especially within the 10/40 Window, remains urgent.

  • We need your prayers.
  • We need your financial partnership.
  • We need your encouragement.

Tomorrow may be too late for someone who is still waiting to hear the name of Jesus for the very first time.

Thank you for your faithful partnership in God’s Kingdom. May the Lord richly bless you and your family for your love, prayers, and generosity.

“Lord if you give me one more day, give me one more soul” This is my daily prayer to the Lord!
