Updates from Shepherd 23:1

The last few months have been filled with evidence of God’s goodness and sovereignty! Evangelism and church planting efforts in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa have been fruitful, bringing the gospel to many who had never heard it before or who had only heard it in a negative context through the lens of other religions. Praise God for His faithfulness! We also had our annual site visit to Uganda and our board of directors strategic planning meeting for 2026.

God is on the move!

Persecution… here and abroad

“In Days of Darkness” is a book authored by Andy Coleman, founder of Christian Emergency Alliance and long time partner to our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world. In this book, Andy highlights various kinds of persecution; many of which you may not inherently recognize as such, although many are happening around us today, right here in the United States. Andy cautions us to not be deceived by a slow tighening of our religious freedoms and gives tangible advise in how to stand firm in the faith amidst persecution. His book mentions a challenging concept that we have heard our shepherd partner in South Asia say, “Do not pray for the persecution to stop. Pray that we may stand firm in the midst of it, that the gospel may spread as a result!” We encourage you to add this book to your 2026 reading list.
